Eagley FC have wasted no time in appointing a new reserve team manager as they plan to reinstate the second string in the West Lancs Reserves League next season.
Neil Bebbington is the man chosen for the job ahead and is relishing the opportunity. The 31 year old is well aware of the local football scene having had playing spells at Pennington, Thornleigh, Farnworth Town, Stoneclough and Elton Vale, and he is no novice at coaching having had a previous coaching role at Bolton Wanderers.
And he’s not adverse to hard work after being part of last seasons Eagles defence which had to dig deep to secure that Premier League football status. We caught up with Neil about his appointment who was clearly looking forward to the role and asked him about his new position….
‘I’m relishing the opportunity, and can’t wait to get started training with the lads. My aim is to try and gain promotion in the reserves league, and to have success in the cup competitions. I’m looking forward to working alongside Simon and Scott, and continuing to develop Eagley into the great club it is.’
We all wish Neil all the best in the job and hope he brings the success he deserves.
